Gathering Smiles

Falling in and out
like never before
watching for what
never would be
wanting even more

Passing drifting
lost in the crowd
hidden like a diamond
shiny and proud

Rough are his edges
to many to compare
foot steps so perfect
thinking so rare

Choices he has been given
testing himself all the time
never ever knowing
truly which mountain to climb

She was his conquest
more than those before
silence kept his interest
on a lonely heart
he could not ignore

Banging away
in the cavity of his chest
lady of mystery
she was his conquest

Her smile was enough
He was a diamond in the rough
slowly chipped away
picturing her made him
smile everyday

Dancing Inside

Wild are the whispers
that carry our words
tame are the voices
of the silence
once turned

Throwing off emotions
single lined smiles
rooms that were
once empty
now filled with lives

Drifting glances
shifting between
perfume so soft
perfection so clean

Staring in wonder
falling eyes to the floor
breath held waiting
for entertaining words

Brushed with colours
hidden beneath
a whole new world
a place to greet

Staring back
smiles fill the pace
hearts in connection
what a beautiful taste

Watching for the Fall

Wondering imagination
laughter filled our souls
up to no good
lets explore the nearest wood
On our way to the open
the trees waving at us
with wind swept air
reining in
eyes wide open
smiles and a grin
Unable to walk past the trill
before we knew it
we were in our fill
as apples of nourishment
filled our pockets
the farmer flew out with his gun
like a rocket
Bang went the thunder
it took over the tighten air
flashes of lightening
everywhere
As the farmer threw back his head
to this day
run away home
now children
do not delay
Scared and helpless
frightened to the bone
was it the weather
or the man
we had torn
Ripping his earning
from the trees of fruit so full
as darkness washed away
our lives that day
that was dull

Missing you

Standing in the room
as silence filled the air
news that you were gone
left me in despair
As the smile that i once had
moved the forms of my face
everything that used to matter
your life could not be replaced
You were my gentle giant
i stood on your feet
you would walk me across the room
with pain that made you grit your teeth
I no longer hear your voice
the void in our family is there
for a brother who is gone
but always loved to dear
As your anniversary approaches
we light a candle as we remember you
our prayers and thoughts surround
or memories of the things we used to do.
We love you with all our heart
our tears tare our face so worn
heartache fills our hearts
But our love will never depart

Doctor

A doctor in Dublin wanted to get off work to go fishing, so he approached his assistant.
"Murphy, I am going fishing tomorrow and don't want to close the clinic. I want you to take care of the clinic and take care of all me patients".
"Yes, sir!" answers Murphy.
The doctor goes fishing and returns the following day and asks: "So,Murphy, how was your day?"
Murphy told him that he took care of three patients. "The first one had a headache so he did, so I gave him Paracetamol."
"Bravo Murphy lad, and the second one?" asks the doctor.
"The second one had indigestion and I gave him Gaviscon, so I did sir" says Murphy.
"Bravo, bravo! You're good at this and what about the third one?" asks the doctor.
"Sir, I was sitting here and suddenly the door flies open and a young gorgeous woman bursts in so she does.
Like a bolt outta the blue, she tears off her clothes, taking off everything including her bra and her panties and lies down on the table, spreading her legs and shouts: 'HELP ME for the love of St Patrick! For five years I have not seen any man!'"
"Lord Jesus Murphy, what did you do?" asks the doctor.
"I put drops in her eyes"

Fifty shades of Red

As her lipstick lay on the table
the light that shone down on her
he lay in the bed
and here is what he said
"Come closer my dear,
don't feel any fear "

He gently ran his hands over
her curves that shaped her all
as her cheeks on her face
glowed more
what clothes she had left on
fell to the floor

He spoke with a gentle whisper
that settled her nervous ways
this was something she had dreamed of
for so many of those lonely days

With red lips touching
his neck line so fine
scent of this man
their two lives caught in time

Red was her color
it filled her veins
as a rush of romance
filled their reins

Holding onto her
with a sparkle once again in his eye
knowing he did not need to try anymore
or ask her why

With a bed of wonder
fantasy filled the air
what was once only a dream
was now always there

As she looked in to the mirror
fixing her lipstick once again
she knew she had filled his happiness
this powerful gentleman

Breaking Call

Looking though her looking glass
she wanted so much more
but never would ask
sitting back breaking call
banging her head
against a voiceless wall

Pushed and pushed
everything she done
had to be rushed
to much to do
no time to stand still

Life rushed by
she never got to enjoy
what life had on offer
nothing could stop her

So as she looked through
her looking glass
memories of childhood
hit her lightening fast

Fun and laughter
filled her mind
a heart full of excitement
how could she of been so blind
in a rush going
no where fast

Like her life flashing
in front of her
knowing that she has forgotten
those important
those around her

Time for change
time to take charge
changing her life
would cut deep within her
just like a knife

Facing up to who she had become
crying for all that had gone
for all she had never done

Opening up her looking glass
letting light in
the change she longed for
letting it all in

Under your Body

Underneath bridges
brushing away the ridges
dust in between
fingers push it away
smooth it clean

Water echoes its way through
twinkling of sun
rushes its insides of new
running myths fill its core
where men once rested
while out to explore

Folding blankets of leaf beds
fall down from above
from branches so high
covering the broken brown
like a glove

Natural songs of wonder
fill the softening air
as hills of formation
hide the past of who was there

Rocking and rolling
through the stream
that others once shared
looking over the river bank
remembering crossing the huge stones
was our plank
of the unknown

Midnight Hour

Midnight hour
it has all gone sour
music falls silent
there is no power
water falling freely
how good is this shower

Rain taps the window
water hits the glass
droplets of water
freshen the grass

Lay on the covers
as shadows pass each wall
lives of yesterday
skeletons and all

Whispers of years gone by
gentle echoes in my ear
memories like a moving picture
reflected on the wall
they once lived a life
fun filled hear them call

Pressed on their past
knowing that moments like this
would not always last
lives that they built
within these walls
enjoy each day to the full
was their call

Shy eyes

Both standing in the center
hands on hips
sweat falls off their exhausted bodies
both out of breath

Wild are their hearts
lonely are the beats apart
her eyes pull him closer
to her

He cant resist
he feels all the pressure
Loving eyes
touching finger tips
longing for his mouth watering lips

Shy eyes of his
hidden away
he is her sunshine
of the day

His hands move her slowly
across the dance floor
then a rush fills them both up
like nothing before

Music filling each step
taken away each other slowing breath
he leads her
with his manly way
she trust him
to guide her
turning this guy away

His soft smoldering looks
fill up with a breath taking smile
this is the look
he has not had for awhile

As the music falls
it comes to the last line
he tells her that
she dances so fine

Bring me close
she whispers in his ear
take me again
on this dance floor
my dear

Caught in Time

As we would sit and talk
for hours on end
the time we had back then
running racing having fun
oh sometimes how i miss it when
Silence is the house
silence is the air
walking through the open fields
memories of this place
almost seen myself running past
a smile upon my face
Adventure was our playground
we done this quite well
ice rink hand made
on the cement ground of white
Skipping ropes sometimes two
under the moon and over the stars
eating melted chocolate bars
questing which color of the next car
Looking at the stars up above
singing out not a note
wearing our sleeves as gloves
Fields of red against the gold
stories of the young
stories of the old
Open camp fires
catching our hearts
laughter filled every corner of the estate
no one fought
there was never hate
Stand by each other
played sports of all sorts
achievements made by all
no one single person gloats
Pride for each other
team play in our name
supporting networks
we gave it all
we had our perks
Setting the standard for the next to come
we had our hearts filled by all
as we speak of the past
we knew we had fun
we had a blast we made it last

Stand by me

If all the rain
that falls from the sky
was the tears that did fall
from your sad eyes

Leaving your print
on all our hearts
knowing that your always there
even tough we are apart

Shoulders that i once
rested on
shoes that help me get
across the room all along

A scent of you i feel
the air your memory
is all so real
broken hurt is so real

Looking down from
your window
the gap through clouds of grey
you push them back over
to allow the suns display

As the day approaches
the one we remember you
knowing that the void is there
but we cant stop loving you
