Resist

Sweating fingers
Touching her cheeks
Brushing her hair
To the side

As his arms
Turn her to glide
Twisting turning
Life seems so unreal

Smiles on both faces
Something that can’t be replaced
Figure hugging dress
She is there to impress

Light filters the air
Sound of music
Is fulfilling
They are lost

Touching lips
Lust is laid bare
Capturing hearts
Captivating eyes

Smiling back
To him
Is this real
Or just a disguise

Affliction

Out in the distance
No one hears
His prayers
On a boat

Floating away
All that covers him
Is an old
Woollen coat

Silence is his enemy
Freedom is his friend
Time spent in his head
Only him to defend

Water ripples
Beneath him
Dragging him
Further away

Scorching skies
Turn to dark
In an instant
Plaguing him
Into retreat
Not wanting to defeat

Worries they
Carry him
Further
Much further

Until the
The line breaks
Softening as
He awakes

Eyes widen
Sun it returns
Returning to land
He is the forgotten son

Pardon

Embodied excited
Feeling drenched
His isolation
Is his proclamation

Shadows of past
Tap his shoulders
Holding onto
His burden

Fighting through
Fields of old
Stories of the past
Lives memories
Begin to unfold

Tortured thoughts
Walls capture
All he
He has fought

Spark

Tampered edges
Skin it pulses
Scent of him
It repulses

Guarded mind
Sheltered heart
Voices they echo
Time keeps
Them apart

Thrown into
The wild
Eyes gather
Tights lather

Dripping dropping
Night scented air
He is like a rabbit
In her snare
