Under your Body

Underneath bridges
brushing away the ridges
dust in between
fingers push it away
smooth it clean

Water echoes its way through
twinkling of sun
rushes its insides of new
running myths fill its core
where men once rested
while out to explore

Folding blankets of leaf beds
fall down from above
from branches so high
covering the broken brown
like a glove

Natural songs of wonder
fill the softening air
as hills of formation
hide the past of who was there

Rocking and rolling
through the stream
that others once shared
looking over the river bank
remembering crossing the huge stones
was our plank
of the unknown
