Bealaí an chroí

Nuair a fhaigheann an saol tú síos
Agus is cosúil aon rud ciall a dhéanamh
Reach amach dóibh siúd a bhfuil gá duit
 hang do cheann ar fionraí

Lig dóibh cabhrú leat nuair a bhíonn amanna crua
Oscailt suas do chroí agus d'intinn
Cead a thabhairt dóibh a ngrá leat níos mó
Cead a thabhairt dóibh a bheith go maith agus cineál

I gcónaí aoibh gháire in am an cruatan
Agus caoin in am an brónach
 lig roinnt focail cinn
Scrios an duine atá tú ag

Glacadh do cineáltas agus worthyness
Tá tú an tráchtearra is priceless sa saol
Líon isteach do céimeanna sa saol le cuimhní cinn
Agus réiteach na conairí de do chroí

Lig d'intinn a bheith oscailte
Lig do chuid focal a úsáid béal fhág unspoken
Lig ort féin a bheith agat
Ceadaigh ar fud an domhain agus na daoine a fhios agat

cúthail ar shiúl ó cad ba mhaith leat
Fháil ar cad é ba mhaith leat i saol
Ná bíodh imní ort faoi rudaí a neamhshuntasach
Bí tú féin amháin éagsúla

Pathways of the heart

When life gets you down
And nothing seems to make sense
Reach out to those who need you
Don’t hang your head in suspense

Let them help you when times are hard
Open up your heart and your mind
Allow them to love you more
Allow them to be good and kind

Always smile in times of hardship
And cry in times of sad
Never let some ones words
Destroy the person who is you

Embrace your kindness and worthyness
You are the most priceless commodity in life
Fill your steps in life with memories
And pave the pathways of your heart

Let your mind be open
Let your mouth use words left unspoken
Let yourself be you
Allow the world and the people to know you

Do not shy away from what you want
Get what it is you want in life
Don’t worry about things that insignificant
Be yourself only different

Why

I wonder why the sky is blue
And why the grass is green
I wonder why the sea is so full
Of fish I have never seen

I wonder why the sunshine’s so brightly
And why the day turns to night
I wonder why the wind sometimes
 Won’t fly my kite

Where do the flowers go in the winter?
When the snow is on the ground
Where do the birds nest for winter?
When I do not hear a sound

Why do the puddles have rainbows?
Reflecting light through them
Why are there colours in the rainbow?
I do wish I could bottle them

Why can’t my teacher talk in English?
She says I never pronounce my words right
But she doesn’t talk clearly enough for me
She shouts and gives me a fright

I ask her answers to my questions
Of a few she can answer so well
I then turn and ask her this one last question
Why do we get so much homework?
Before she has time to give out to me
There goes the bell

A Mothers Love

A mother holds her child’s hand for a while
They make them laugh
They make them smile
They ask them to wait patiently
Until it is time for their tea

A mother holds her child
In her heart no matter what
They know when some things wrong
They have it on the spot

Mothers will always listen
And rarely ever judge
They will give you a reassuring cuddle
They may even give you a nudge

A nudge in the right direction
If your going off track
They will tell quickly and effectively
Before there is no way back

Mothers make things nice and cosy
All warm and snugly
They make you feel loved and happy
So content and bubbly

They hold things together
Like no one else can
They mould and shape us into who we are
We are their biggest fan

Life inside of me

As I lay on my bed
Relaxed and feeling every kick
The evening before I felt unwell
Couldn’t eat felt sick
Tiredness is all I seem to know these days
Trying to take it easy its all going to be a phase
Hands are hot and swollen
My belly is moving and rolling
I talk to this tiny life inside of me
I know you can hear me
You are the one
I wish I could see
I am scared don’t know what to expect
Oh I need to close my eyes
I am worn out
I am wrecked
This sudden tiredness
I wish it would go away
Please leave me alone
Come back another day
I sleep for awhile
When suddenly i am woking up
To this sudden sharp pain
I need to throw up
Oh please not yet
Your not ready to be born
I have some of my bags packed
This has been going on since the morn
I call out where is the doctor
They have called him he is late
The ambulance arrives before him
I give out rant and rave
The poor nurse she thinks
That I am possessed
I think I need a straight jacket
She needs a bullet proof vest
I can’t explain the pain
It’s like nothing I felt before
I want to scream my head off and shout of loud
Standing around me there is a crowd
The nurse tells me to wait until she tells me to push
I turn to her and smile here is a water gush
She seen it all before it doesn’t bother her anymore
I want to crawl on my hands and knees like a baby on the floor
I am tired and weak
Will this ever stop?
When with one last push
I see a head of dark hair
I almost pass out
I nearly drop
But excitement takes over
Your all mine in my arms
Your cute little soft smile
Your skin so soft and fragile
I know my life will never be the same
Since you were born that day
Since you became who you came
No preparations could get me ready for this
I suppose it mostly always hit and miss
I love you so much
Wouldn’t change you for the world
You are my bundle of joy
You are my world

Little Voice

Passing along by the church yard
Wondering what lurks behind the stones in front of me
I run as fast as I can
So no ghostly figures see me

The stories that are told of this weird place
This is a place no steps take foot
I wish I had the nerve to walk in
Not run by or stay put

I don’t like been scared
I would prefer to be brave
So as I ran passed I heard someone call me
Oh holy god I thought to myself

This is not going to be my lucky day
Will I run or
Will I see?
Who is calling?
After me

The stories of this place forgotten
Would make the hairs stand
On the back of your neck
Something rotten

Who’s there I got the courage to say
It’s me the voice proclaimed my way
Show yourself to me this once
This was my only taught my response

Are you sure
You really want to see me
Come out I said
Sure what harm could you be?

Okay said the voice
I hope you understand
It was me all along
When you were lonely that held your hand

Then out of no where a figure it appeared
To my surprise I wasn’t fazed
To my surprise I wasn’t scared
Hello I said how do you do

I am glad you didn’t try
 To run away and hide
So you’re the one I always feel around me at night
When I am trying to sleep
With my eyes shut tight
I am that person that thing you feel there
I honestly didn’t think you would
Know I was there

You’re different than I imagined
You remind me of someone
Please don’t tell anyone you seen me
Or they will take away where I belong

I won’t breathe a word
This will be our little secret
I dare not to share it
I dare not to breathe it

I am glad we have met at this time
You gave me strength when I needed it most
To climb the mountains I had to climb
You came to me just in the nick of time
