Who lies beneath

Here she fell
Here she lies
No one hears here terrible cries
She sends bubbles to the top
When all of a sudden they do stop

In a lake of cold darkness
In a lagoon of fear
No one knows that she is here
As another falls after running away from him
She is saved by courageous diving men

No memories of this day
Does she hold inside
He does his best to carry on
He does his best to hide

All his secrets of what went on
At this day so long ago
When she is walking around up stairs
She sees a mist of glow

It catches her mind
She ventures to see within
It warns her of this man
Of his mortal sin

She can not figure out
Exactly what is going on
She empties the bath once more
When a figure appears of she who is gone
On his return he finds her trying to connect with her
He rolls back his eyes
Unveils his disguise
She know this is true by what she sees

He paralyzes her body in a state of fear
He fills the bath up she can not scream
No feeling no one will hear
As water fills her very soul
The woman who appeared is watching her goal
He walks back in brushing her hair
When the woman he killed appeared from no where
He fell with the fright and banged his head
The floor was bloody
He looked dead

Lady in the bath was helped by her
To save her life she struggled with fight
He woke to try and stop her but only managed to see
They reached the bridge
And he drove them in deep into the airy waters
As she struggled to free herself
He covered her half unspoken cries
He had hardness in his smile
When from no where the mystery lady appeared
And released her from his grasp

She struggled free
She thanked the lady
He faltered away
As she did decay
And entered into her light
Like an angel of the night
It all now made sense
This lady fought such tragic circumstance
Helped her in her time of need
To prevent this man so cruel indeed

Dance me a Tune

Do your dance
Let yourself go
But down your barriers
Roll in the snow

As I sit on my ankles
He yells out
Give me a bite to eat
And I won’t shout

As he dances this dance
In his own way
He wins us over
With all his display

We have never seen anything like this before
It is something new your dance we want more
We start to try and do it
But laughter takes hold
As we put arm on arm
Together we fold

What are like?
We think to ourselves
Do not worry what you look like
Just enjoy and be free

So we take his word for it
And on we give it a go
This day we shared with him
Will stay with us until were old

We filled him full of food
He filled us full of hope
That someday we may be able to dance
The ring of dance like antelope

Chieftains of the Hill

Standing on the hill
Drinking away
Life stand still
Nothing can change
Do not want to exchange

Standing like kings and queens
Fireside is huge
Bottles of brown
Cans are bruised

The crowds gather in
Bottles of sin
As the darkness lights up
We sip it  up

Huddled together on this hill
Wall surrounding us as time stands still
This is our way
Of spending this day
We are chieftains of the night
Courage takes flight

The cheering has stopped the crowds have gone in closed doors
We still stay sharing our wares
Cigarette is burnt to the butt
We try to suck it for all its worth

Smoky darkness
Of a fun filled night
When we were free
To do as we liked
The days of fun had truly begun
We sat there
In or grassy chairs
Soiled to our skin
But large smiles and grins

Natures Glove

Marigold and primroses
Stand in the way
Of wishing me to not want
To travel through the grassy bank of field

Hold me back from entering this entrance
Beauty catches my eye
Colours so beautiful and mesmerising
They blow my mind

Flickering of tiny wings catch the back of my neck
Click click clicking goes the sound from the wood
As breeze rushes through uneven branches of half leaved spurt
Animals crawl within to keep themselves safe and sheltered from the rain

As vines make way
For us to view
All that’s in store
All that’s new

Pathways of stones that grip
Our shoes and feet
Holden a grasp of nature’s glove
That also fits

Applause of feathers and banter of birds all around
Holding back as we come towards them
As if not to get our attention
They stand still

As we brake away from this beauty of untold curiosity
We wish to find some honey from the bee
So let it sleep for the night
In the morning bring its light
Your eyes have captured images of delight

Picture Perfect

If beauty was a picture
Then you are it to behold
Your tender eyes touch and reach out
Your smile is soft and has stories to be told

As you gaze out through the window
Your memories flood right back
The times of who you were then
Trying to hold them together
To remember and keep track

Whispers of the shadows
Flow back in your mind
The ghosts of yesterday
The ones you left behind

Are haunting your very thoughts
You try to force them still
Some give you pimples and chills
Let them all out now
For they have been held off for far to long
Keeping them bottled up
Not knowing what went wrong

Knowing what you knew then
What you know right now
Understanding more of life
You can’t let this rule your life
Do not let it take over don’t allow

As the clouds cover the sheet of blue
As darkness falls again
Do not worry of who you were
Back then
This is your time
Claim it back for you

Treasures to Behold

As the rocks
Set themselves up against the tunnels below
Colours of gold and black
What does this treasure hold?

Set in columns of circles
In different sizes and shapes
Some look like they have faces
Of the past of the dead

As water is pushed against them
Wearing them away
Standing on the rocks of wonder
We wonder who we are

We wonder who built them
And what they are for
Why so many different formations
What are they?

So many questions
And very few answers
Amazed at each and everyone
People come from all over
To discover them here

As the steps go further almost out to sea
Imagine the men, women and children
Who stood here before
The Irish sea

Life would have been very hard
Especially back them
We now have cars and buses to bring us here
Not walking to much now
Compared to then

If these wonders of the world could speak
In a language of the few
I wonder would it be in gaelic
If only we knew

Of course they would
Sure the inlets run right in
As the visitors set off now
And they drink up the black and grin

Whiskeys on the table tops
Food is everywhere
But spare a thought
For the poor old ones
Who won and who had fought
In times of hardship and pain
They flew the flag again
When we cross the rocks we think of them
As we come here in our flocks

An empty Gaze

Hold my hand
Hold my smile
I look with an empty gaze
When I show emotion
You are amazed

Walking around trying to make sense of it all
Not been able to interact at all
I look away
Not able to look your way
Left alone
I will soon come along

Show me
Encourage me
I will eventually get there
Time will need patience
Patience will need time
No loud noises
You help me climb

My biggest mountains
Obstacles in my way
You help me through my struggle
Every other day
Show me what comes next
Teach me all you know
Point it out over and over again
Until I surely know

I need to know what comes next
Or I get confused
I want you to make it alright
I may blow like a fuse
Frustrating are my thoughts
They don’t go away
Just get better with time

You were told I wouldn’t do anything
Never accomplish anything new
But you never gave up on me
You taught me all you knew
There was no name on what I have
At that time you see
People thought I was some kind
Of weirdo maybe

You pushed and found the help
Eventually it was given a name
It didn’t matter to you
For you loved me all the same
I now live and am slowly coming along
I know I would not be as advanced
But you made me strong
Pushed me others wouldn’t
Treated me just the same
Knowing that you were my inspiration
We both share the same name
